Private Yoga Therapy is a place of deep restoration and a sanctuary of peace for you to come home to your Self and find ease in your body.

Whether your desire is to strengthen your asana practice and fine tune a more active yoga practice, or dive deep into therapeutic restorative yoga, private yoga sessions are designed to settle the nervous system and create more coherence between the mind, the body, and the heart.

We are all stressed and live in a stressed out world. Our tendency is to constantly be do-ing. Our body’s crave less and long for nurturing practices to bring us home to who we truly are. It is in deep rest and healing poses that we can heal and find balance. Yoga therapy is here to help guide you back to your body and your own energy. It is a way to create more self awareness and connection with the patterns of tension in your body and the busyness of an over active mind. Yoga therapy can also be a tool to ease your body into releasing emotional blockages and trauma.

As a trauma informed yoga therapist trained in Somatic Psychology & other mind-body healing techniques, my focus is helping you create more spaciousness and ease thru passive stretching. Restorative yoga is perfect for those who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, postpartum depression, those trying to conceive or experiencing hormonal imbalances, chronic stress, and all other nervous system disorders.

Yoga therapy weaves together restorative poses with healing touch, breathwork, and guided meditations to ease the nervous system and cool the mind. We will work together to restore you body and I will teach techniques you can practice on your own the stay balanced in this stressed out world.

 

Yoga Nidra. The Art of Deep Rest

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation designed to help you experience the deepest form of rest and relaxation. Yoga Nidra is the practice of being and un-doing the stresses we accumulate in our lives on a daily basis and over time. It is a practice of creating coherence between the mind, body, and heart so you can heal from the inside out. It is through deep relaxation that the body can heal and regenerate.

Yoga Nidra has been proven to decrease inflammation, decrease chronic pain, helps to balance the emotions, balance hormones and support the body thru perimenopause and menopause, improves quality of sleep, eases anxiety & depression, & balances alpha and theta brain waves helping to ease stress in the brain and create a sense of deep relaxation.

Yoga Nidra is perfect for everyone, but especially for those who experience anxiety, depression, IBS, PTSD, and other nervous system related disorders.

The class is designed to help you unwind thru guided breath work & meditation to release tension in the body and ease the chatter in the mind. I will also incorporate therapeutic touch to open up energy pathways in the body.
